Performance Review Visit to the Coconut Research Institute
The National Science and Technology Commission (NASTEC) carried out a Performance Review visit to the Coconut Research Institute (CRI) on 20–21 April 2026.
The Review Panel consisted of Dr. N.C. Kumarasinghe as Chairman, together with Prof. O.D. Niranjalie Antonette Perera and Ms. D.A. Shirani as members.
During the visit, the Panel engaged in discussions with the CRI management, scientists, and staff to obtain insights into the institute’s research activities, institutional practices, achievements, and challenges. The Panel also observed the available facilities and ongoing work related to coconut research and sector development.
