YSF Webinar: Tips to Accelerate Your Career Development: Guide to Young Scientists

The 3^rd webinar of a series of online knowledge sharing sessions organized by the Young Scientists Forum (YSF) of the National Science and Technology Commission (NASTEC) for the fourth consecutive year of 2024, was held on 31^st July 2024 under the title ‘Tips to Accelerate Your Career Development: Guide to Young Scientists’. The webinar was designed to provide essential tools and strategies to propel scientific careers forward, and Prof. Ruwan D. Jayasinghe, Chair, Professor of Oral Medicine and Periodontology, and Specialist in OMF Surgery, Dept. of Oral Medicine and Periodontology, Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya, addressed the online audience as the guest speaker and resource person, sharing practical advice on how to navigate the academic and industrial landscapes, overcome common challenges, and make informed decisions that align with their professional goals. Dr. Kalpani Ratnayake, Head, Department of Cosmetic Science, Faculty of Health Sciences, CINEC Campus, coordinated and moderated the session. The webinar concluded successfully after a Q&A session and more than 60 participants joined the session.
